Smith focused on swift implementation of mandate (RTS, KIM Radio)

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith could soon raise the first indictments against perpetrators of war crimes during the Kosovo conflict, however, the Hague does not want to reveal the date when this could happen, RTS reports. “Mr. Smith visited Kosovo in order to meet with the Minster of Justice, Abelard Tahiri, other officials from the Justice Ministry as well we international officials. He is focused on swift implementation of his mandate. In the meantime, we do not comment on possible dates of raising indictments,” Special Court Spokesperson Christopher Bennet told Pristina-based media, RTS reported.
