Montenegrin opposition leaders, Dodik to meet Putin in Belgrade; Erdogan on the Dayton agreement (B92, Al Jazeera, Beta, Glas Srpske)
Leaders of Montenegro's opposition Democratic Front Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic will attend the lunch that the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will organize for Vladimir Putin. The Russian president will arrive in Serbia on Thursday to a formal visit.
Beta agency reports on Wednesday that Belgrade, but also "international circles", perceived the visit as "one of the most important political meetings in a while when the possibility of involvement of the world's leading powers in the resolution of the Kosovo issue was closer than ever."
B92 reported yesterday that former President of the Republic of Srpska (RS) and chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Milorad Dodik will meet Putin during his visit to Serbia while he said that "the format of the meeting has not yet been defined."
Dodik told Banja Luka-based Glas Srpske daily that all contacts and conversations are very important for the RS, especially with a significant and powerful country like Russia, which has demonstrated its objectivity in the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic met in Ankara on Wednesday, reports Al Jazeera Balkans.
On the occasion, Erdogan said that the Dayton Peace Agreement must be revised, reports Al Jazeera.
One of the topics that journalists were interested in was the commentary by Erdogan in the context of the election of Zeljko Komsic as a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the ranks of the Croatian people in the October elections, a topic over which the official Zagreb expressed dissatisfaction and even passed it to the European Parliament.
"We respect the electoral will of the citizens of BiH and I want to emphasize the importance of the community of all peoples in this country," Erdogan said.
Erdogan added that the peoples of BiH should look at each other with the eyes of peace, and that their country, Turkey, was helping in this.
The Turkish president also spoke about the trilateral of Turkey-BiH-Croatia and said that it would be possible to talk about this trilateral in more detail after the establishment of the government in BiH.
"The Dayton Peace Agreement must be revised. It is very clear that the Dayton Agreement has not made a solution for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past," said Erdogan, reports Al Jazeera.
In this regard, Erdogan stressed the need for an active involvement of the UN in relation to BiH and the Dayton Peace Agreement, or its revision.
