Kozarev: Role of international organizations crucial for human rights protection in Kosovo (Danas)
Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Deputy Director Dusan Kozarev met with the Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Jan Braathu yesterday, and informed him about everyday problems Serbs in Kosovo are facing, in particular about the difficulties caused by the trade blockade on goods from central Serbia, Danas daily reports.
Kozarev noted that Serbian Government is a cooperative partner in resolving all the issues on the ground, adding that Brussels as a mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should have a more active role in exerting pressure upon Pristina to revoke unilateral measures.
Pointing out to the difficult situation of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Kozarev emphasised that the international organizations such as the OSCE must have a crucial role in the protection of fundamental human rights of the Serb people, which are more often and flagrantly jeopardized.
Ambassador Braathu informed Kozarev on the content of the report on Kosovo prepared for the OSCE Permanent Council session, that is taking place in Vienna next week and about the work of the Mission over the previous period, Danas daily reported.
