Janjic: EU to be more proactive in the preparation of dialogue (Blic, B92)
If the European Union does not change its position and become more proactive in the preparation of dialogue, Belgrade and Pristina could lose strength to go in the desired direction, said the analyst Dusan Janjic.
Speaking on TV B92, Janjic said that this is a critical year for Kosovo and interethnic relations in the territory.
"Tension is always raised before negotiations. The atmosphere in the whole of 2015 is bad, turmoil in Europe are large, social discontent prevails. Kosovo has all these problems, and a small population," said Janjic.
According to him, when problems cannot be easily resolved then they are transformed into the "anti-Serbian story."
"It's an easy mechanism for manipulation and it is very dangerous," said Janjic.
Speaking about the Deputy Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci visit to Belgrade, Janjic said that it was on the judiciary to see what would happen with the case.
"We, unfortunately, do not have mechanisms as a country to temporarily suspend the decision of the court. This was the only right decision, policy is doing its job, and now justice has to see what to do with this case," said Janjic.
