Tasic’s detention extended (KIM radio)

Based on the Basic Court from Prizren judge Rajme Elezi’s decision detention to Darko Tasic from Krusa was extended to three more months. Tasic is suspected of committing a war crime against the civilian population, KIM Radio reported.

According to the charges, Tasic is suspected that he along with a larger group of persons in the village of Mala Krusa burned down and looted over one hundred houses and deported Albanian women and children. “Investigative hearings scheduled for the beginning of January next year would provide more concrete picture of events that had happened. Tasic was coming to Kosovo and Metohija for many years, given that he is employed in the Serbia’s Railway Company. Would anyone who could do anything similar (to the charges) keep coming to Kosovo under threat of being prosecuted? My client is completely innocent, and it is up to the prosecutor to prove his charges,” lawyer Dejan A. Vasic told KIM Radio. Darko Tasic was arrested in November this year, at the administrative crossing point Brnjak, on the way Rozaje-Zubin Potok, KIM Radio reported.
