“Mogherini in Belgrade – clear whom she supports” (BETA, Tanjug, RTS)
Centre for Foreign Policy Chairperson, Aleksandra Joksimovic told Serbian media that EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini with arrival to Belgrade showed a clear support to the Serbian side.
“Usual format of visits to the region includes tours in Belgrade and Pristina. The visit to Belgrade only, indicates a concrete and a clear support to Serbia, since Pristina is responsible for the violence in the north of Kosovo,” Joksimovic told RTS. According to her, it was also a wish and need to hear first-hand information about events in the north of Kosovo. She also assessed that Srpska Lisa would have serious impact on internal political developments in Kosovo, either being part of the government or not. Commenting on the announcement that Serbs would form Association of the Serb Municipalities independently, she said it is a crucial moment for the Serb community, but that “without establishment of the Association there is no adequate continuation of the negotiation process.” “Given that for five years, this part of the Brussels agreement have not been implemented, when we speak about the change in the negotiations process, it seems that without establishment of the Association, adequate continuation in the negotiation process would hardly happen,” Joksimovic said. Commenting on a joint statement, following the meeting between Serbian President Aleksadar Vucic and EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, Joksimovic said that “dialogue has no alternative,” Serbian media reported.
