No official reply from Belgrade on Thaci’s visit (RFE)

Kosovo police arrest Serb suspected of planning attack (Reuters)

Kosovo police have arrested a Serbian national suspected of planning a terrorist attack, the interior minister told a news conference on Friday. The suspect, from Belgrade, was arrested on Thursday evening with 12.2 kilos (27 pounds) of explosives in his car in a street in the Kosovan capital Pristina where many Western embassies are located, Skender Hyseni said. "We suspect the clear aim of this person was to commit a terrorist attack," he told journalists. Kosovo media speculated that possible targets were the embassies of western countries or the Catholic cathedral.

Jahjaga decides not to go to Belgrade (Gazeta Blic)

President of Kosovo has sent a negative reply to the organisers of the Trilateral Commission meeting set to take place in Belgrade from 31 October to 2 November. Klan Kosova sources from Jahjaga’s office said the President informed the organisers in a letter. She justified her decision with internal developments in Kosovo and efforts to facilitate the dialogue between political parties so that new institutions are formed as soon as possible.

Jahjaga was invited on behalf of Kosovo (Danas)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic confirmed arrival at the meeting of the European Group of the Trilateral Commission, which will be held in Belgrade from 31 October to 2 November. On the other side, Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga still didn’t confirm participation, was stated from the Serbian ethnic group of this world organization. Except Jahjaga and Vucic, Ministers of the Government of Serbia, as well as other leaders from the region were invited. The meeting will be held in Belgrade's Hotel "Crown Plaza" according to the principle "behind closed doors".
