Drecun: We do not accept Kosovo membership in UN in turn for ZSO (RTS, Radio Belgrade)
Serbia will not accept membership of a false state of Kosovo in UN in turn for Association/Community of Serb-Majority Municipalities, Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told Radio Belgrade.
He repeated a stance that the only acceptable solution to Belgrade is the one reached in a compromise. What we can offer, Drecun continued, is to sit at the negotiation table and to reach a compromised solution for the Kosovo final status, while anything outside of it will not be accepted.
Serbian media earlier reported Western countries consider options to change the format of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, to involve more intermediaries in the dialogue, and swiftly arrange a solution that is not acceptable to Serbia.
Drecun also commented on the United Nations reports on Kosovo, saying that for the last couple of years they moved from political into a real domain and it is a good thing.
“Reports are more realistic and impartial and this is good, as they point out problems existing in Kosovo and Metohija, demand their resolution and in a way place the UN in the front plan when it comes to the resolution of the Kosovo issue,” Drecun said, Serbian media reported.
