CI SDP embittered over investigation of Ivanovic’s murder (BETA)
“Tomorrow would be exactly four months since the murder of the leader of Civic Initiative “Freedom, Democracy, Justice” (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanović in Mitrovica North, and there is no progress in the investigation,” official of CI SDP Ksenija Bozovic told BETA news agency.
“We are disappointed and embittered, although from the day one we have claimed that the killer will never be found” Bozovic said, expressing dissatisfaction because the investigation, as she said, was increasingly being diluted.
Bozovic added that the Special Prosecutor’s Office was calling the witnesses who were already examined by the Basic Prosecutor’s Office.
“I have nothing to say, four months have passed, and there is no progress” she said, adding that one can only hear the “blame game” from Belgrade to Pristina, and vice versa. According to her, Belgrade appeals to get the satellite images, Pristina is preventing that and does not make a stance on this, while the international representatives are silent.
As the only progress, Bozovic mentioned the CI SDP petition for a street or square in Mitrovica North to be named after Oliver Ivanovic. So far, 1,500 signatures have been collected, which will be submitted at the municipal assembly session, she said.
