PM Brnabic: Continuation of the dialogue depends on the tax, not the election (TV Prva, B92, Tanjug, Radio Mitrovica Sever)
The continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue has nothing to do with the possible elections in Kosovo, but solely with taxes, said Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic this morning in morning TV Prva Show.
Brnabic called the current political developments in Kosovo a farce, thus answering the question how the possible elections and political turmoil in Kosovo will reflect on further dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and when its continuation can be expected at all.
''That's ridiculous, it's a farce. Imagine me resigning today and calling a cabinet session on Friday. What is that but a farce,” said Brnabic.
She stressed that it is important that the state supports the Serbs in Kosovo, and that they are always safe. To know as well what state policy is and that, as Brnabic points out, every day, as Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic does, Serbia's credibility strengthens.
Serbian PM reminds that Kosovo's issue has been closed for the largest number of world powers that recognized Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, stating that it was no longer so thanks to the efforts of the state leadership led by Aleksandar Vucic since 2014.
"Today we are talking about KiM again. Yesterday, the authorities met with those who left the issue of Kosovo and Metohija as a closed issue and during which time the issue was moved from the United Nations to the European Union, ”said Brnabic, adding that Pristina received the greatest confirmation of its independence during the former government from the International Court of Justice, which is constantly used by the Albanian side as an argument.
"The situation that ended in favour of Pristina, to the detriment of Serbia, has been reversed, and thanks to the Serbian List, Serbs in KiM are now united and thus stronger," the Prime Minister concluded.
