Adriatik Kelmendi says that Kosovo has become hostage of the war commanders, even though the war is over 16 year ago. Some of these commanders are enriched by being in power, the others enriched in opposition. These commanders might have known to lead or help the war, however now they are failing Kosovo with their moral deficit. Columnist of this daily, Halil Matoshi, says that based on the Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty the statement of the French President, François Hollande that the barbarity of the “Islamic State” in Paris is “an act of war” requires a collective reaction. This means, he notes, that from the black Friday in Paris, Albania is also in war. NATO could undertake massive infantry attack against the “Islamic State” and it is believed that its end has already started.

Political analyst Halil Matoshi in an opinion piece for the paper today writes that Kosovo's Foreign Ministry is trying desperately to present Kosovo’s failure in UNESCO as a victory. “Hashim Thaci and his team need to explain to Kosovo citizens how is it possible that 15 countries who have recognized Kosovo have not voted in favor of Kosovo's membership in this organization,” Matoshi writes.

The paper today runs an opinion piece by Andrea Capussela, former head of the economics unit of the International Civilian Office in Kosovo, on the recent developments in the Kosovo Assembly. “I continually read that police and prosecutors plan to arrest the Kosovo Assembly MPs for throwing teargas in the Assembly and who are now not responding to the prosecution’s invitation to be interviewed. But, if they arrest the MPs, they would violate the Constitution of Kosovo.

Adriatik Kelmendi considers that the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), should immediately start working on regaining trust, after failing to vote ratification of the Stabilization Association Agreement. He says that it is regrettable that these two parties and Vetevendosje Movement ruined the 25 year old Albanian consensus on this matter. “Was the SAA with Kosovo the best? No! Could it be negotiated better? Perhaps! Should it be approved? Absolutely, definitively YES,” writes Kelmendi.

Halil Matoshi argues that Kosovo’s society considers opposition’s objection to any initiative in favor of the Euro-Atlantic integration as proclaiming war against western democracy, against the U.S. and the EU. He notes that using a false cause could lead the opposition toward becoming a history.

Enver Robelli argues today that in Kosovo, alongside a mainly uncivilized political class, there is a caste of rich journalists who continuously violate professional and ethical principles. The truth is that the number of the journalists who have become killers of their profession is not small, he notes.

The paper’s Brussels-based correspondent, Augustin Palokaj comments on the recently signed Stabilization Association Agreement between the EU and Kosovo. According to him, the EU has intentionally held the signing of this agreement without any notable ceremony as differently from the other countries, as if it feared the countries that have not recognized Kosovo and Serbia. He notes that apart from the content of the SAA for Kosovo which differs from those of the other countries, the manner in which the Agreement was signed differs as well.
