Civic Initiative SDP: The encouraging messages of Patriarch Irinej (Kontakt plus radio)

The CI SDP says in a statement that the arrival of Serbian Patriarchs and Serbian Orthodox Church leaders to Kosovo is of great importance for further survival of Serbs in this region, however they point out that citizens have not been informed about the arrival.

SDP reminds that the Serbian people in the most difficult moments had the greatest trust in the Church.

GI SDP: Still unknown who killed Oliver Ivanovic after nine months (Kontakt plus radio, NMagazin)

Citizens' initiative SDP warned today that even nine months after the assassination of party leader Oliver Ivanovic, there is no information about the course of the investigation, or whether there is any relevant information on who ordered, organized and committed the crime, reported Serbian media.

CI SDP says in a statement that "from Belgrade and Pristina are still arriving only contradictory statements, while the international community is silent."

The Serbian List and Djuric say a street in North Mitrovica will be named after Oliver Ivanovic (Kossev)

Kossev portal wrote on Saturday that it appears it will be done not at the request of the Ivanovic’s party SDP but on a proposal of the Serbian List: ''Oliver Ivanovic and all innocent victims of our municipality will have a street named after them in North Mitrovica following a proposal of the Serbian List parliamentary group in the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica''. The head of the Kosovo Office, Marko Djuric, reacted almost simultaneously with the Serbian List, confirming that Oliver Ivanovic will have a street in North Mitrovica named after him, ''as per his credits''.

CI SDP: Serbian List makes pressure on our candidates (RTK, Kontakt plus radio)

After Tatjana Ivaz and Dalibor Antić withdrew the candidacy for councillors in front of CI SDP Oliver Ivanović, Tomislav Dejanović from the CI "For Our Zvečan" led by Dragiša Milović also asked withdrawel of his candidacy in the upcoming local elections on October 22.

He, like the previous two candidates, publicly supported the Serbian List.

The Citizens' Initiative SDP - Oliver Ivanović expects to prove the innocence of Oliver Ivanović at the scheduled hearings of the Appellate Court.

The SDP statement recalls the belief that political process is conducted against Ivanović, and expresses the hope that "reason and the evidence will prevail in favour of his absolute innocence in the case for which the First Instance sentenced to nine years in prison".

CI SDP released a statement that the founders of this party will remain in the SDP, stressing that the Assembly members from North Mitrovica and Zvečan/ Zveçan who left the party will not change the work and unity of the party. The statement also reads that Oliver Ivanović with few members, years ago, founded the SDP and that "whether in jail, or at home, he is the one that brings important decisions, together with closest leadership."

Simić: CI SDP is not the same as before (KiM radio)

"CI SDP is no longer a political party as it was, at the time when Mr Oliver Ivanović led it. We, municipal councillors, are not the only people who left the party. Huge numbers of people who had been on the list for councillors and other prominent members also abandoned the party, but the public still does not know it,” said Igor Simić, former member of the CI SDP.  When asked who is to blame, Simić says that he cannot talk individually, because those are "some internal things."

CI SDP: Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija should use passports for visa-free regime (Kontakt Plus Radio)

CI SDP welcomes the efforts of the negotiating team of Serbia related to the inclusion in visa free regime of the Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija, who have the passports issued by the Coordination Directorate. "Although we are convinced that the decision on visa-free regime will be neither quickly nor easily made, the Government of Serbia must have prepared technical solutions in order to protect the rights of Serbian citizens living in Kosovo and Metohija," reads the statement of the CI SDP.
