Kosovo: Of nearly 5,000 officials, 498 reported on their assets (Danas, FoNet, RTK2)

Director of the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency Shaip Havolli announced that a much wider circle of people will have to report their assets as of next year, including inspectors, public procurement officers, professors, doctors, customs officials and officials of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, reported Belgrade based daily Danas, quoting RTK2.

Sokol Havolli, the chief of staff and advisor to Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, in an interview with KTV, commented on Belgrade’s recent ultimatums about former Local Government Minister Ljubomir Maric and the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. Havolli said the Kosovo government has never functioned based on ultimatums, “especially those coming from the Serbian state”.

Havolli: Demarcation withdrawn because MPs were blackmailed (Top Channel)

Sokol Havolli, advisor to Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, told Tirana-based Top Channel that the reasons for withdrawing the border demarcation deal from the Assembly were not related to number of votes. “The government withdrew the agreement after considerable pressure and threats made towards the MPs,” Havolli said. He stressed that the ratification of demarcation deal is a prerequisite for visa liberalization and that must happen quickly, while accusing the opposition of using this deal for political purposes.

Verification of sexual violence victims, hostage of government commission (Koha Ditore)

Kosovo government's commission for verification of victims of sexual violence during the war has not yet been established, while the verification of the victims cannot be done without this commission, the paper reports. Sokol Havolli, advisor to Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, told the paper that it is very important to receive the applications initially. According to him, the secretariat for accepting the applications is functional and one cannot say that the process is being delayed.
