Thaci: Historic agreement on reconciliation by “recognizing reality” (Tanjug, B92, Kontakt Plus Radio)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci in an interview to Tanjug stated he believes a historic agreement on normalization of relations and reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia would soon happen, and its aim it to “recognize reality.”

“This may be popular neither for me, nor for the President Vucic, but it would be good for Kosovo and Serbia. We are lucky to pay a political price for the sake of a better future for the forthcoming generations,” Thaci went on saying.

Srpska Lista to attend consultations on Assembly session (Kontakt plus radio)

Chief of Srpska Lista, Media Co-operation Office, Igor Simic, stated yesterday afternoon to Kontakt Plus Radio that the Srpska Lista received invitation, to attend on Monday, consultations on the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

The invitation came from the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Simic also said the first interest of the Srpska Lista is to advance the position of Serbs, and they are interested to hear what coalition partners could deliver to Serbs living in Kosovo.

Haradinaj brings Serbia back to Kosovo (Sputnik)

Although Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the coalition PAN and winner of the elections in Kosovo, informed Hashim Thaci a week ago, that he has enough votes to form the government, Thaci still did not entrust him a mandate.

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, is reported to have met PAN coalition’s candidate for prime minister and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, in one of Pristina restaurants today. The meeting was also attended by AAK MP Daut Haradinaj and journalist Dardan Gashi. Thaci did not comment on the reason behind the meeting.

Telegrafi: Thaci expected to announce date for Assembly’s constitutive session today or tomorrow

Quoting sources from the Kosovo Assembly, Telegrafi reports that President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci is expected to announce date for Assembly’s constitutive session today or tomorrow. Sources said the likeliest date for the session will be sometime next week as many MPs are presently away on holidays.

“Kosovo Assembly should decide about continuation of dialogue” (RTS)

Kosovo Assembly should decide on the format of the dialogue in Brussels, recently continued at the presidential level, RTS reported referring to Pristina-based media reports that Hashim Thaci, with unilateral decision to meet Aleskandar Vucic breached Constitution.

After the new government is formed, Kosovo Assembly should call for a session and decide about the future of a dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, more respectively to appoint legitimate Kosovo representatives in Brussels.

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said in an interview to Radio Free Europe in Albanian that he has received assurances from the winning coalition, PAN, and the nominee for prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, that the new government of Kosovo will be formed without delays. “The issue of mandate is not a matter of preference but of respect for citizens’ legitimacy”, Thaci said. “Kosovo has a winning coalition that came out of 11 June elections.
