Brnabic: EU to react to entry ban on Serbian officials (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said responsible institutions in the EU that guarantee the implementation of the Brussels agreement should react to the entry ban on Serbian officials in Kosovo and Metohija, Tanjug news agency reported.

Asked to comment on banning the entry of the Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Brnabic said it is fully in line with Pristina’s policy, that is against the free flow of goods and services, and obviously now against the freedom of movement.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic called on the European Union to open accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania as soon as possible since, as she said, that was crucially important for the Western Balkans, BETA news agency reported.

Brnabic underlined Serbia’s “full and unreserved” support of its neighbors’ European integration.

Serbian Prime Minister said a full stop is put on the misunderstandings over the statement of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov regarding Kosovo independence, B92 reports.

She added Bulgaria is a great partner of Serbia, noting there is no need for tensions and estranged relations between the two states. Serbian PM Brnabic also appeared alongside Bulgarian PM Borissov before the journalists after the plenary session of SEECP.

Journalists were also interested to hear if PM Borissov has something to add, and he said briefly – full stop, full stop.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said the agreement on common foreign policy of Pristina and Tirana and joint embassies is not naive. She added it is scandalous that there is no reaction of the US or the EU regarding that, Tanjug news agency reported.

“It is terrible that Pristina and Tirana have signed an agreement to have a common foreign policy now. This is not naive; this is rather serious. The scandal is that we have not seen yet any official reactions either by US or the EU,” Brnabic told TV Pink.

Serbian PM Brnabic on situation in northern Kosovo, Pristina’s tariffs (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today Belgrade was warning over the last seven months on possible consequences of the Pristina’s tariffs imposed on goods from central Serbia, Tanjug news agency reported.

According to her closure of the shops in the north is such consequence, adding that Belgrade at any moment would be ready to help its people in Kosovo. She also noted alternative ways to supply the goods were cut off, and there were even shootings at the trucks transporting the goods and yet nobody reacted.

Brnabic on Kosovo: I am not big optimist (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said the government would do its utmost to enable that the goods from central Serbia would reach all people in Kosovo and Metohija, Tanjug news agency reported.

She also expressed hope that the international community would start paying greater attention to it and enable free flows of goods in addition to the calls to lift the tariffs.

“I am not a big optimist, since November 21 they did not care much about the fact that media in Serbian language from central Serbia were banned in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija,” Brnabic said.

Serbian Prime Minister Brnabic set to join President Vucic’s ruling party (Blic, TV N1)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic is set to join President Aleksandar Vucic’s ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Belgrade-based daily Blic reports on Tuesday.

Brnabic told the daily she hopes the SNS would accept her, that she likes and respects the party and that she would discuss her membership with Vucic in the next few weeks.

Vucic: PM Brnabic was referring to Kosovo leadership, not entire Albanian population (Danas)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in her remark “people from the forest” was not referring to the entire Albanian people, but to the Kosovo leadership respectively Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj and Kadri Veseli, Danas daily reported.

“She did not speak about the entire population, but about the three of them. No, they are handsome guys, academics, painters and literates,” Vucic told journalists in Loznica, commenting on Kosovo Albanian leaders.
