Firewood stolen from Zociste Monastery (KIM Radio)

Monks from the Serbian Orthodox Church Zociste Monastery noticed yesterday around 13.00 hrs that certain amount of firewood is missing, KIM Radio reported.

The brotherhood assumes the firewood got stolen over the last couple of days, as they recently covered it with a plastic sheet to protect it from the precipitation. When they checked the firewood last time, everything was in place.

Three Vetevendosje MPs, Albin Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj- Bujupi, were arrested on Friday after they failed to show up in court to face charges of letting off tear gas in parliament.

Kosovo police arrested three Vetevenedosje MPs, Albin Kurti, former leader of Vetevendosje, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj Bujupi, at around 10am on Friday in Pristina while they were going to parliament to attend a session.

The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Ymeri reacted to the arrest of Vetevendosje MPs. “The three MPs of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi dhe Albin Kurti were arrested in a brutal manner by the Police of the Republic of Kosovo, based on political orders, while they were entering the session. So the three MPs were coming at the session called for today.

Kosovo Police has arrested these moments the Vetevendosje Movement MP Albin Kurti.

A great number of police officers was seen at the main entrance of the Assembly of Kosovo.

After receiving the arrest warrant by judge Beqir Kalludra, Kosovo Police, based on the Law, arrested Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi while entering the Kosovo Assembly.

The three Vetevendosje Movement MPs Albin Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj –Bukupi are being accused by the Court for throwing teargas at the Assembly.

Police: We have not received arrest warrant for MPs (Telegrafi)

The Basic Court in Pristina has issued on Wednesday an arrest warrant for three Vetevendosje MPs, Albin Kurti, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Albulena Haxhiu.

Judge ordered their arresting and detention measures due to their absence from the court session with regards to throwing tear gas at the Assembly.

However, Kosovo Police has not received the Court’s arrest warrant so far. “We as police, have not received any kind of arrest warrant,” said Police Spokesperson Flora Ahmeti.

Serb beaten in Mitrovica (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio)

A 33-year-old Serb from Kosovo (B. S.) was beaten last night in the northern part of Mitrovica in a multi-ethnic settlement of the Bosniak Mahalla when several unidentified persons came upon him, Kontakt plus radio reports. B. S. is in the Mitrovica hospital.

Radio reports that he was intercepted by a group of unidentified persons who verbally and physically have attacked him.

Two properties owned by Albanians attacked in the north (Koha/Klan Kosova)

A store owned by an Albanian resident of “Kodra e Minatoreve” neighbourhood in the northern part of Mitrovica was stoned last night as well as a house further down the street owned by Cerani family. Nysret Cerani, owner of the house, told KTV that at the time the house was stoned he also heard gunshots being fired and alleged that members of the Serb community are behind the attack.

Mitrovica: Fire caught three vehicles, no injures (KoSSev portal)

Two vehicles were burned down and one was damaged due to the fire that broke out early this morning in Mitrovica North, KoSSev portal reported. No one was injured, but material damages are reported.

Although police preliminary considered the fire broke out due to electrical installation, Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Police Region North, Besim Hoti, confirmed to KoSSev portal that the police doubts it is an arson case.

KoSSev unofficially learnt the two vehicles are the property of the Kosovo Albanian baker, and in his yard the vehicles were burned down.
