Serbian-Russian bilateral trade volume has been on a rise over the past several years and the goal is to reach the 2008 level of 4 billion dollars. Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic said this Thursday, adding that the 2018 trade volume had been 3.6 billion dollars - 500 million more than in 2017, Tanjug is reporting.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic accused “some European countries” of trying to prevent a quick agreement over Kosovo.

Dacic did not specify which countries he claimed are playing games because they don’t want to see Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement quickly, adding that he does not believe the United States are playing that game.

He told reporters in Belgrade he is looking forward to a visit by a US delegation, headed by State Department official David Hale, because it will be an opportunity to pass on Serbia’s views.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has pointed out that the incident with the burning of Milorad Pupovac's effigy in Croatia is not an isolated case.

"The problem is that an anti-Serb atmosphere is being created and incidents do not happen only in election campaigns (…)," Dacic told Prva TV.

An agreement with Pristina won't be reached, because Albanians do not want it, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic has assessed. He told Bijeljina-based BN broadcaster late on Thursday that "delimitation" of Kosovo is not a new idea, that it has been talked about for years, and that Serbia in 2005 had a proposal from the international community to partition Kosovo.

Although it was expected that the polemics between Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic and Minister of Innovations Nenad Popovic on the official policy towards Kosovo and Metohija would get an epilogue at the session of the government, it did not happen.

Commenting on the idea on delineation put forward by FM Dacic, Popovic said that “entire Kosovo is Serbia, not even a meter less.”

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic told RTS he is not surprised that Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz used the meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss about Kosovo and Metohija.

Speaking for RTS morning news edition Dacic noted that the US more than other partners is interested in finding the lasting solution to the Kosovo and Metohija issue, which is in relation to a change in their stance and reflected in a manner that Kosovo is no longer a closed issue for them.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday that delineation with Kosovo was not an official proposal but an idea among some of the state leaders, thus correcting the statement he made one day earlier saying that delineation with Kosovo is Serbia’s official proposal to resolve the Kosovo issue, BETA news agency reported.

Dacic said if the idea would become the official proposal it would be presented to the National Assembly, while the citizens would have a final word on it, in a referendum.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has replied to US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, who believes that, on the issue of the situation in Venezuela, Serbia is on the wrong side of history.

"The Americans are properly on the right side, supporting Kosovo. We were on their side in both world wars, and they chose the ones they fought against in both wars," Dacic told Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic received on Tuesday Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Venezuela Yvan Gil.

Dacic told Gil that Serbia’s and Venezuela’s relations are characterized by a long friendship, reflected in mutual support on the international plan, expressing appreciation for the country's principled position (non-recognition) on Kosovo and Metohija, as well as voting against the so-called Kosovo in Interpol and UNESCO.
