Incident in Staro Gracko, three Serbs injured (RTS, Tanjug)

Three persons of Serb ethnicity are injured in clash with Albanians and due to police intervention in the village of Staro Gracko, nearby Lipljan, RTS correspondent Andrija Igic reported.

A medical care was provided to injured persons, including a 6-month old baby, in a health house in Laplje Selo. Police detained one Albanian and one Serb, RTS further reported.

Injured Serbs are from the same Matovic family. The oldest Gorica said that group of Albanians was verbally harassing her daughter in law and a neighbour while they were walking in the village with their children.

Jevtic: Attack on children dangerous provocation (KIM Radio)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic said that last night incident in the village of Staro Gracko when children were attacked is a dangerous provocation, KIM Radio reports.

He added, it is even more dangerous because a six-month old baby who was in arms of her mother was also injured.

Vulin, Djuric condemn incident in Staro Gracko (RTS)

Serbian Defence Minister, Aleksandar Vulin reacting to the incident in Staro Gracko village told RTS that in a village where Serb harvesters were executed, Albanians are now attacking a six-month old babies and arrest Serbs who dare to defend their children.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric said that “entire Serbia is appalled with savaging against Serbs in a series of incidents that took place over the last few days, in which displaced persons, village inhabitants, children and even the babies are not spared”.

Srpska Lista: Attack in Staro Gracko for strongest condemnation (Radio KIM)

Attack against Staro Gracko village inhabitants, when children were injured, including a 6-month old baby is “a heinous act, demanding strongest condemnation,” Srpska Lista (SL) said in a press statement, Radio KIM reported.

SL asked for urgent apprehension and punishment of those responsible for the attack against Matovic family and requested the international community to wake up and finally starts reacting to synchronized ethnically motivated attacks against the Serbs.

Staro Gracko: Murder anniversary of 14 Serb harvesters marked (KIM Radio)

The eighteenth anniversary of a murder of 14 Serb harvesters was marked in the village of Staro Gracko, Lipjan/Lipljan municipality, KIM radio and other Serbian media reported. The perpetrators of this crime still remain unknown, while the investigation is closed.

Since the investigation into the case is closed, members of the families expect the case will be taken over by the Special Court for War Crimes.

“We hope that the Special Court would initiate an investigation, bring perpetrators to justice, so the victims can rest in peace,” stated one of the family members.
