Church in Suvi Do village broken into again, house in returnee village Brestovik burglarized (KoSSev)

Kosovo police reported about two theft cases affecting the Serb community. A house belonging to the Serb returnee in the village of Brestovik, Pec municipality was burglarized, while the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint Petka in the village of Suvi Do, Mitrovica North was broken into. The Church in Suvi Do village was broken into; a certain amount of money was stolen while the furniture inside the church was demolished.

Jovic: Delineation should be discussed because of peace (Tanjug, RTS)

Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Damjan Jovic said that the delineation is something worth discussing at the moment, with the aim to reach a lasting peace, Tanjug news agency reported. Jovic added question remains whether the discussion would occur or not, and what could be its result, since it does not depend only upon the good will from Belgrade. Responding to journalist’s question what the politics for Kosovo was, for which Serbian President earlier stated that it has faced defeat, Jovic responded he cannot discuss about details on what is happening at the negotiatio

“We won’t establish ZSO alone, we will wait” (TV N1, KIM Radio)

Assistant Director of the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic said today during a meeting in Zvecan that Serbs would wait for three and a half months more to establish the Association/Community of Serb-Majority Municipalities. In the meeting with Serb political representatives from Kosovo and members of the Management Team, Petkovic said Serbs need ZSO as it was agreed and signed in Brussels. “We do not need ZSO that exists in Kosovo Constitution,” he emphasized, KIM Radio reported.  

UNS and DNKiM: Mistreatment of journalists in Kosovo and Metohija continues (KoSSev portal)

Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) in the strongest terms condemned “continuation of mistreatment of journalists and media professionals in Kosovo and Metohija by the Kosovo police,” KoSSev portal reported.

Marko Djuric appointed as acting director of the Office for Kosovo (RTS)

The Government of Serbia has decided to reappoint Marko Djuric as Acting Director of the Government Office for Kosovo, in duration of three months, RTS reported quoting the Official Gazette. At the same session held on 6th July 2017, the Serbian Government also appointed 3 Acting Deputy Directors and 4 acting director’s assistants for the same period of the three months. Acting Deputy Directors are Zoran Jovic, Zeljko Jovic and Dusan Kozarev. Acting Director’s Assistants are Dejan Pavicevic, who is also a liaison officer in Pristina, Dusan Jovovic, Petar Petkovic and Zoran Bojovi
