Lawyer Vlajic on Kosovo courts taking over cases from EULEX (BETA)

Lawyer Nebojsa Vlajic assessed the fact that Kosovo courts would over war crimes cases from EULEX “would be painful and difficult” for Serbs, BETA news agency reported.

He noted that from now on they would need to prove their innocence before the people incapable of making right decisions. “Only Basic Court in Pristina is in charge of the war crimes cases, and all judges there are Albanians. It would not be possible to have trials in Mitrovica North, where there are judges who are Serbs,” Vlajic explained.

A higher sentence for Zejnepe Berisha’s murder (Prishtina Insight)

Confirming a guilty verdict, the Appeals Court extended the sentence for Zejnepe Berisha’s murder, condemning her husband, Nebih, to 17 years behind bars.
In October 2015, Zejnepe Berisha was stabbed 20 times with a knife by her husband Nebih. Her brutal murder happened in the couple’s home in the presence of their daughter, who was also injured in the process.
