Ivica Dacic spoke for Belgrade based Prva TV on Wednesday - without confirming that he is one of those who know what the Serbian plan to solve the Kosovo problem is.
The foreign minister and first deputy PM also pointed out that he "could say in detail what that plan may look like."
Political analyst Obrad Kesic told RTS that the change in the US's attitude towards Kosovo is tied to bigger issues from the Balkans and recalls that US President Donald Trump has announced in the campaign that he has a different vision of foreign policy.
However, Kesic points out that there is great resistance to his vision.
Since the break-up of Yugoslavia no US president has visited Belgrade, and the president of Serbia expects Donald Trump to come here next year.
After Russian, Chinese and numerous European leaders, Serbia could thus soon host the US president.
"It would quite certainly be a historic visit, as he would be the first US president to come to Serbia," said Aleksandra Joksimovic from the Center for Foreign Policy.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in New York on Wednesday that US president Donald Trump has accepted his invitation to visit Serbia
"When I invited him, I explained in detail why I think it's important that he comes to Serbia. I spoke about the attitude of all Serbian citizens toward him and the US policy, how people in Serbia would welcome him, why it's important, and that his presence would show how much Serbs want that friendship," Vucic told reporters.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with USA President Donald Trump in New York and invited him to come to an official visit to Serbia.
According to unofficial information, Trump “has accepted the idea” to visit Serbia, B92 reported.
The two presidents, following the UN General Assembly session, spoke several minutes at the reception Trump and his wife organized for the world leaders. Vucic did not make any official statement about it yet.

Just before the meeting started, Ivica Dacic approached Donald Trump and spoke to him, and also showed him some papers. Many then wondered what these papers were. A video showed that Trump was interested in what Dacic was showing him, but it remained unknown on Monday what it actually was.
