Pope Francis arrives in Skopje (Tanjug, B92)

Pope Francis arrived on Tuesday morning at the airport in Skopje, where he was traditionally greeted with bread and salt. The head of the Roman Catholic Church was greeted by the president and prime minister of North Macedonia, Djordje Ivanov and Zoran Zaev, and other representatives of the government and the city of Skopje. Pope Francis will first go to the Presidential Palace where a reception is organized, and later on during his first visit to North Macedonia serve a mass at the central square in Skopje, an event that is expected to be attended by more than 15,000 people.  

Reeker: Pristina to abolish tariffs, Belgrade not to campaign against Kosovo (Beta, N1, B92, nezavisen.mk)

An American official who will soon take over the position of an Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Philip Reeker, has called on Pristina to abolish the tariffs, reports Serbian media quoting the portal nezavisen.mk.

According to the North Macedonia news portal nezavisen.mk he also called on Belgrade to focus on the strategic interest "instead of being aggressive in rejecting Kosovo."

An official death certificate has been issued in Skopje stating the passing of the father of Goran Stevanovic from the village of Zabevac, near Bujanovac. Vucic, Vulin on Serbia’s neighbours voting in Interpol (B92, RTS, TV Pink)

Following the voting on Kosovo Interpol bid yesterday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he understood well messages from some neighbors that Serbia is a less valuable friend to them, than Pristina, B92 reports. Referring to Skopje and Podgorica voting in favor of Kosovo, Vucic noted that they have sent a clear message to Serbia, you are a friend of secondary importance, while Albanians are true friends.
