Kosovo Police: No incidents during Vidovdan, tendentious writing of the Kurir tabloid (KoSSev)

''The event in Gazimestan on the occasion of the Vidovdan holiday occurred without any individual incidents, while the reports of the Serbian media about it are tendentious and untrue,'' the Kosovo Police explained in yesterday’s detailed report following the June 28th celebration.

According to their estimates, between 800 and 1000 participants registered at Gazimestan. Kosovo Police also refuted the claims made by the Belgrade-based tabloid Kurir in their news: ''Scandal at Gazimestan: Albanian police forced a Serbian grandpa to take off his T-shirt!''

Serbs mark Vidovdan (Radio KIM, Radio kontakt plus, KoSSev, RTK2)

Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija mark today one of the most important holidays Vidovdan (St. Vidus Day). The central ceremonies were held in Gracanica and Gazimestan, Radio KIM reports.

A liturgy was served in the Serbian Orthodox Church Monastery Gracanica, while the memorial for those who have fought in Kosovo Polje battle (1389) was severed at Gazimestan.

Serbian Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije told gathered Serbs in Gracanica that they are not a minority but the strongest people in Europe.

Kosovo police yesterday did not allow entry into the memorial complex on Gazimestan to correspondents of the Belgrade based TV Prva and editor-in-chief of Gracanica Online portal, Andjelka Cup and Nikola Milosavljevic, reports portal gracanicaonline.info.

Alliance for Kosovo and Metohija established (KoSSev)

The Alliance for Kosovo and Metohija was established as a branch of the Serbian opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) at Gazimestan yesterday, one of the leaders of this alliance, Dragan Djilas confirmed for KoSSev.

He was leading a delegation from Belgrade to join Kosovo Serb opposition leaders and sympathizers in Gracanica. The original plan was to hold the founding assembly at the Cultural Center in Gracanica, but the location was subsequently changed due to organized protests of the Gracanica municipality and Serbian institutions’ employees.
