Albin Kurti, leader of Vetevendosje movement stated during a press conference held today that while reaching the agreement in principal, for the governance of Kosovo by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK,) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) the parties did not discuss coalitions but the post of the prime minister.

“These were two bodies, one seat and no brain,” he said and added that these two parties divided the government as if by knife.

Reliable sources told Gazeta Blic that the two leaders met in Berlin last week where they reached the agreement. The government will be led by the LDK and responsibilities will be divided equally on all levels. Present at the discussions were the President of Kosovo and the United States Ambassador.

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) tried these days to send AAK, Vetevendosje and Nisma to opposition, by reaching an agreement with PDK. In order to reach this, he plans “to gain support” of the General Council of his party today. However, his partners decoded this game.

While Isa Mustafa is making his last efforts to give a deadly blow to the coalition block, through some minor games at the General Council of his party,  his former partners have undertaken concrete measures to push him towards opposition.

Pristina Mayor and Vetevendosje deputy leader Shpend Ahmeti criticizes the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Isa Mustafa over his remarks for including the Serbian List in the new government. “Based on what I am reading, it is more important to include Vucic’s Serbian List than Vetevendosje in the new government. After everything that has happened in Kosovo, please do not try to convince us that this is the European path and that this is democracy,” Ahmeti writes on his Facebook account.

Lutfi Haziri, member of the chairmanship of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), told reporters in Pristina today that LDK will continue to meet heads of branches and other structures before the meeting of the LDK General Assembly on Wednesday afternoon. “In line with the post-election coalition agreement and with respect to our role and the roles of our partners, we are trying to find a way forward for the establishment of institutions and to end the political stalemate that has engulfed Kosovo since 10 June,” Haziri said after today’s meeting of the LDK chairmanship.

There are two new circumstances that have made it difficult for the coalition to reach these objectives. First, the decision of the Constitutional Court to give only the PDK the right to nominate the Assembly Speaker.

Vjosa Osmani, the most voted deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) after its leader, Isa Mustafa, stated before entering the meeting of LDK’s leadership that she does not change her mind and that she will not vote for the proposal for coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK.)

It is assumed that members of LDK leadership will discuss creation of new institutions without coalition block. Isa Mustafa, wrote today on his Facebook page that new (political) momentums impose new behaviors.
