Ashton: We did not ask Belgrade and Pristina to cross red lines (RTS, Tanjug)

Former EU High Representative Catherine Ashton under whose mediation the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue has started in 2012 said at the Belgrade Security Forum that neither side was requested to cross their red lines, RTS reports. She added the aim was to bring representatives of the both sides in the same room, at the same table.

Hahn warns EU member states (Kosovo online, B92)

Johannes Hahn warned EU member states that negative decision on the date of accession negotiations for North Macedonia and Albania affects opportunities in the region, B92 reports referring to Pristina-based Gazeta Blic.

European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations Hahb believes that this would most affect the relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

EU: Kosovo to form Government with respect to Constitution (Kosovo online, N1)

Maja Kocijancic, a European Union spokesperson, said that new Kosovo Government should be formed in line with its Constitution, the Kosovo online website carried the Gazeta Express report on Friday.

She added the EU was looking forward to the assembling of Kosovo’s new Government, probably made up of the members of the Vetëvendosje (Self-Determination) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the two parties which ended neck-to-neck in the Sunday’s general elections.

“One thing is clear: Kosovo and Serbia must reach an agreement. That is important. I will do everything I can to meet this priority”, Borrell said.

The German Ambassador in Belgrade Thomas Schieb said on Wednesday that Serbia needs a comprehensive agreement with Kosovo to take what he called a decisive step in its European integration process.
