Kocijancic: Talks on IDs to continue (KIM Radio)

“Representatives of Belgrade and Pristina have agreed over unhindered transport of dangerous materials through administrative crossings of Serbia and Kosovo, agreement was reached and on visits of Serbian officials to Kosovo, whereas the talks will continue about the issue of identification documents,” said Maja Kocijancic, the spokesperson of the EU High Representative.

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received today the chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, as part of the meetings with the representatives of various Kosovo institutions.

They discussed the intensification of cooperation between the Presidency and the Assembly in all areas, especially in the areas of rule of law and European integration.

“The Presidency and the Assembly will continue to coordinate their work to ensure the efficient functioning of our institutions. We need to accelerate our path into NATO and the EU”, President Thaçi said.

Kosovo reaches agreement with Serbia on mutual recognition of ADR certificates (Kosovapress)

Kosovo delegation in the discussions with Serbia, informed through a press release that they have reached agreement for reciprocal recognition of the ADR certificates on transportation of the hazardous goods.

With the mediation of the European Union in Brussels and after marathonic discussions under a heavy and tensioned atmosphere, the agreement for mutual recognition of ADR certificates was reached at around 03:30 in the morning, or after 20 hours of discussions, informed Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri.

Serbs from the North to protest in Jarinje (RTK)

A group of people from Rudare village, close to Zvecan, is heading by vehicle to Jarinje, at the border crossing between Kosovo and Serbia, to protest against the announced decision of the government of Kosovo that from 18 April, individuals who possess illegal ID documents, issued by the illegal structures of Serbia in Kosovo, will not be allowed to enter Kosovo.

Mayors of the northern municipalities as well as mayors of the so-called municipalities that function as part of Serbia, also joined these protesters.

In an interview for Vecernje Novosti, Dittman said that NATO membership was not a prerequisite for joining the EU, and the same applies for recognition of Kosovo's independence.

Government to re-submit list of PRB members on Friday (Gazeta Blic)

The government of Kosovo announced that it will meet on Friday to re-submit the proposals for nomination of the members of the Procurement Review Body to the Assembly of Kosovo. “The government of Kosovo will respect any procedure of the Assembly of Kosovo and it will accept any decision made by Kosovo Assembly MPs,” stresses a press release issued by the government.
