Make your move, President! (Kosova Sot)

The paper’s front-page editorial suggests that in the current circumstances where the positions of political parties are clear, the President of Kosovo, in line with the Constitution, must summon parliamentary parties to a roundtable. “Despite her weaknesses, President Atifete Jahjaga must find the strength to encourage dialogue and find a compromise solution. So far, the President has only watched and except for one question to the Court about the candidate for prime minister, she has not made any concrete initiative.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, received today the Ambassador of Great Britain, Sir Ian Cliff, the Ambassador of the Republic of France, Ms. Maryse Daviet, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Germany, Mr. Matthias Kiesler and the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Salvatore Marino, whom she informed on the activities of the Kosovo institutions in the prevention and combating of extremism and radicalism.

President Jahjaga hails police operation against terrorist suspects

Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga, welcomes today’s operation by security and judicial mechanisms of the Republic of Kosovo against persons suspected of terrorism and participating in the war in Syria and Iraq alongside terrorist organizations, as well as against activities of suspected locations related to inciting violent extremism and hatred.

The Commander of NATO Allied Joint Forces Command Naples, Admiral Bruce W. Clingan, said that NATO will continue to implement its mission in Kosovo in maintaining peace and stability and a  secure environment for all citizens.

Admiral Clingan made the comments in a farewell meeting with Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga.

Williamson, face to face with Jahjaga (Express, Koha)

Clint Williamson, the lead prosecutor for the EU Special Investigative Task Force (SITF) investigating the war crime and organised crime allegations in the Council of Europe (CoE) report met this morning with Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga.

According to a press release from the meeting, Jahjaga said that Kosovo institutions are committed to cooperate with SITF in the coming period to strengthen rule of law and meet obligations to the local and international justice.

Krasniqi: Instead of interpretation, the Constitutional Court causes confusion (kohaonline)

It is not the first time that instead of interpreting the Constitution, the Constitutional Court brings more confusion and rewrites what is not said in the Constitution of Kosovo, wrote Kosovo’s Assembly Speaker, Jakup Krasniqi.

He says that the confusion is caused by majority of the Constitutional Court members, while only one of them, Robert Karollain, gave the right interpretation of respective articles.

Jahjaga participates at SEECP meeting (kohaonline)

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga is participating at the meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) which is being held under organization’s rotating presidency, Rumania.

Presidents and representatives of other South European states as well as the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule, are participating at this meeting. During the meeting, President Jahjaga will hold a speech on the importance of regional cooperation and on Kosovo’s and region’s European perspective
