Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Bekim Çollaku, told Radio Free Europe that Kosovo Assembly should as soon as possible address “in a responsible manner the border-demarcation agreement, as a matter of national interest.” Çollaku said the issue of demarcation is the responsibility of all institutions of Kosovo and it should be addressed as soon as possible. “This issue must go for a serious debate in the Assembly.

Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Bekim Çollaku, said on Tuesday that the border-demarcation process with Montenegro cannot return to point zero. He said the ratification of this agreement remains a criteria for visa liberalisation and that Kosovo must not waste time in this regard. Çollaku also called for political consensus among all parties, because any delay, he said, will have consequences.

Kosovo’s European Integration Minister, Bekim Collaku, announced that the government today adopted the proposal for Open Data Charter that will enable the individuals, media, civil society, and businesses access to government records. Collaku said Kosovo is catching up with recent European and global trends in this aspect.

Kosovars will be able to move without visas within 2016. This is official already. The news was confirmed by the Minister for European Integration, Bekim Collaku, who received information from European officials.

Now only technical procedures which are expected to be fulfilled within a few weeks, remain. Be as it may, today will be a marked day. The 4^th of May is the day when Kosovo gains positive recommendation for liberalization of visas for Schengen zone. This is Collaku’s posting on Facebook:

WITHOUT VISAS – 2016

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, met the European Parliament Member, and Rapporteur for Kosovo, Urlike Lunacek, during his visit to Brussels.

Mustafa together with Kosovo’s Minister for Integration, Bekim Collaku, have begun official meetings with the EU officials. A few moments ago, PM Mustafa ended his meeting with the European Parliament MP, Urlike Lunacek. They discussed EU integration of Kosovo and the process of visa liberalization.

Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Bekim Collaku, said today that he is confident that the European Commission will very soon announce a positive assessment on visa liberalization for Kosovo. Collaku made these remarks during a press conference with the French Minister for European Affairs, Harlem Desir, and German Minister of State for Europe, Michael Roth. Desir said France would continue to support Kosovo. “France and Germany support Kosovo and I can say that Kosovo has achieved a lot of progress but more remains to be done.

Kosovo expects to receive very soon the recommendation for visa liberalization as government officials in Pristina claim all criteria required by the European Union have already been met. Fisnik Rexhepi, senior advisor to Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration Bekim Collaku, told the news portal that Kosovo too is in the EU’s agenda for visa liberalization. “We have met the criteria required by EU institutions through an unprecedented rigorous roadmap. EU institutions are reviewing the Kosovo case.

Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Bekim Collaku, said in a meeting today with a delegation from the German Bundestag that Kosovo has fulfilled all necessary criteria for visa liberalization and expects a corresponding decision from the EU on the matter.
