A two-day ministerial meeting of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) is taking place in Tirana. Kosovo is being represented by Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci and other ministers of the region have also confirmed their participation. The conference is being hosted by Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati. Officials in the conference will discuss strengthening of regional cooperation and EU officials from the Latvia’s EU presidency and the Regional Cooperation Council will also be in attendance.

Parliamentary Committee on Kosovo and Metohija chairman Milovan Drecun says Hashim Thaci's announcement of a "genocide lawsuit" was "an insult to the victims."

Drecun, an MP from the ruling SNS party, said on Monday he believes that Kosovo cannot move forward unless it sets up a special war crimes court in the next few months.

The paper reports that statement of Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hashim Thaci, that Kosovo will file a lawsuit against Serbia for war reparations, was considered as delayed, depressing and hardly feasible. For 15 years, Kosovo has not undertaken a single step that would put Serbia in front of justice for the crimes committed and for the material damages in Kosovo.

Kosovar FM Hashim Thaci said that he could not give an exact date, but added that Kosovo will apply to the International Court of Justice after evaluating "internal and international circumstances."

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister  Hashim Thaci signaled Friday that Kosovo will ask for “war reparations” from Serbia on charges of genocide during the 1998-99 war.

“We are discussing and working on it,” Thaci, who also serves as Kosovo’s deputy prime minister, told The Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview.

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, is continuing his visit to Turkey, and on Friday met with Turkey's Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu. Thaci and Davutoglu discussed the latest political developments and economic cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey, and agreed to take measures to increase the volume of Turkish investments in Kosovo. “Prime Minister Davutoglu promised that Turkish diplomacy and he personally will continue to defend the interests of Kosovo in the international arena,” wrote Thaci on his Facebook page.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, on Thursday started his official meetings in the Republic of Turkey. Thaci in a meeting with Turkey's Foreign Minister, Mevlyt Çavuşoğlu expressed his gratitude for the great help that Turkey has given to Kosovo. "Turkey for us is one of the main economic partners and we will make efforts to increase trade exchanges and to increase investors in Kosovo," said Thaci. Thaci and Çavuşoğlu also discussed cooperation in the field of rule of law.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi has stressed that stability can only come to the Balkans after Serbia formally recognizes the independence of Kosovo, but added that Kosovo and Serbia must move forward to normalize their relations.

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, had a meeting yesterday with Qatar’s ambassador to Kosovo, Yousif Hasan Yousif Alsae. Thaci said after the meeting that there will be good news for Kosovo. “We had very constructive talks about potential Qatar investments in Kosovo and I believe that in the coming months there will be good news on economic development, employment and investment cooperation,” said Thaci.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci criticized the opposition parties and other public factors, that they are trying substantiate their allegations against the agreements reached in Brussels. Thaci told Lajmi that the recent agreement reached in Brussels between Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and Serbia Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, received the blessing of Parliament and other relevant institutions in Kosovo.

Rada Trajkovic, Leader of the European Movement of Serbs, told Kontakt plus, commenting on the agreement on justice, that the Serbian negotiators lightly made concessions to the Albanian side and so have brought Serbs from Kosovo in a situation where they have to agree under pressure.

Rada Trajkovic adds that for the Kosovo Serbs is a huge problem departure of the Serbian judiciary and the judiciary of the state of Serbia.
