World media: Kosovo was treated at the Summit as a state (RTKlive)

Kosovo was treated as a state during the UN Summit of the world leaders against extremism, hosted by the President of the United States of America, reported Associated Press.

World media report that the seating chart for Tuesday's meeting shows Kosovo among the states attending the meeting, even though it is not a U.N. member state. Kosovo leaders participated at the summit invited by the United States of America.

Mustafa requests recognition by five EU countries (Klan Kosova)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, wrote on his Facebook page that Kosovo should become member of the international organizations, and it should be recognized by the five European Union countries. He added that Kosovo people deserve freedom of movement, without limits of visa regime. “Support for many other recognitions is required. Faster economic development could be reached only through political and diplomatic cooperation with other countries,” wrote Mustafa.

The U.S. Senate has confirmed the diplomat Greg Delawie for the position of the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo. Delawie, from Virginia, will replace Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, who will be ending her three-year mandate as the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo. Greg Delawie was appointed by the U.S. President, Barack Obama by the end of March of this year. The outgoing Ambassador, Tracey Ann Jacobson has already started her farewell meetings in Kosovo. Yesterday, she met with Father Sava Janjic from Decani Monastery.
