Although Ivica Dacic recently announced that Greek PM Alexis Tsipras will visit Serbia in the fall, two Belgrade based newspapers say this will not happen

Thus the daily Blic writes that the package of conditions that Greece must fulfill to receive financial assistance from the West includes recognizing Kosovo.

Greece is one of five EU countries that do not recognize the unilateral declaration of independence made by ethnic Albanians in 2008.

Djuric: UNMIK and EULEX to engage (Blic, B92)

Head of Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric asked the UNMIK Chief Farid Zarif and EULEX Chief Gabriel Meucci to engage on Ivanovic's case.

Djuric in an official letter addressed to EULEX and UNMIK requested to enable bail for the leader of the Citizens' Initiative SDP, Oliver Ivanovic and Dragoljub Delibasic. Also, Djuric states that it would prevent human right violations and damage of Ivanovic's health.

Oliver Ivanovic’s health is worsening (Blic)

Deputy Chairperson of the Civic Initiative SDP, Ksenija Bozovic, stated today that Oliver Ivanović’s health is worsening after he went on hunger strike five days ago.

She said that SDP has no additional information about his health status, and that Ivanović’s friends and family are disappointed with the behavior of the court and EULEX officials who simply went silent and ignorant.

Vucic and Rama in a TV show (TV Most, RTS,Blic,Vesti, Akter)

The prime ministers of Albania and Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic and Edi Rama, will be guests in sixty minutes show of the regional TV production "Okruzenje," which is broadcasted in five countries on 11 national and dozens of local television stations, as announced by this production, the RTS will broadcast the show on August 31.

According to the press release, the show will be recorded in a studio in Vienna, during the second conference on the Western Balkans, reports FoNet. The third guest will be Goran Svilanovic, the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council.

EULEX harasses Oliver Ivanovic (Blic)

The EULEX Court decision to extend detention of Oliver Ivanovic until 6 October, Milena Ivanovic (Oliver's wife) has described as "horrible and scandalous".

Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic says for Blic that the length of detention and the course of the procedure against Ivanovic creates concern and doubts as to respect a series of individual rights from the complex right to trial within a reasonable time.

"Decision on KLA crimes court made under intl. pressure" (B92, Blic)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic says he is satisfied that amendments that will pave the way to establish a special court have been adopted.

"Of course we're satisfied, it was uncertain until the very end. Until the last moment we did not know whether we will have enough votes," he said.

Stojanovic told B92 late on Monday that he "hoped the law will also be adopted during the session this evening," and that "the decision (on the amendments) was significantly influenced by the international community."

"Genocide resolution" not included in assembly's agenda (Blic, Vecernje Novosti, B92)

The Kosovo assembly has not accepted a proposal to consider a draft resolution on alleged genocide by Yugoslav army and police forces against ethnic Albanians.

45 deputies on Monday voted in favour of including the draft in the agenda, 55 were against, while five abstained.

The initiative to adopt such a resolution came from the Self-Determination Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, and the Initiative for the Future of Kosovo.

They believe that members of Serb security forces committed genocide against Albanians in the province during the last war.
