Acting Serbian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic called on Kosovo Serbs to vote for the Serbian list in the Kosovo elections. Today's elections in Kosovo "are of vital importance for the Serbian people, which only united can ensure their survival," sait Dacic, reported Beta news agency.
“The Serbian list, on these elections, represents the epitome of the unity between the Republic of Serbia and Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, and only the Serbian list can ensure the preservation of than umbilical cord between our people and the institutions on Kosovo and Metohija and the state of Serbia” said Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric, bews agency Beta reported.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has voiced his concern over obstacles blocking the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Beta reported.
He is also worried about carrying out agreements reached through dialogue, as well as the rise of nationalism.
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has told UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin that Serbia is committed to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Nikolic also said that the efforts of Serbia aimed at Kosovo not becoming a state are effective as long as the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, performs its role to the extent and in the manner as before, the president's cabinet announced, according to Beta.
The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that he has not mentioned a Greater Albania in any of his statements. He also said that EU’s lack of leadership and vision opened way for other ideologies and impacts in the region, such as nationalism, extremism and political radicalism.
He accused “Serbia’s bad spirit which aims legitimizing a greater Serbia, acting under the nose of the EU and international community.”

The Balkans can easily become one of the chessboards where the big power game can be played, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said on Monday.
Mogherni made the remark following the meeting of EU's Foreign Affairs Council, when a reporter asked how deep the concern was about Russian interference in the Western Balkans - "and to what extent are member-states seeking action in that regard."
Despite the Kosovo Albanian politicians claims, Federica Mogherini will not attend the opening of the main bridge on the Ibar in Kosovska Mitrovica on March 4.
The reason, according to Beta, that is quoting the daily Vecernje Novosti, is that the bridge will not be opened then.
Mayor of Northern Mitrovica Goran Rakic told the newspaper that according to the Brussels agreement, the bridge will be opened once the works in the pedestrian zone in Kralja Petra Street have been completed.
