Russian, Serbian officials discuss situation in Macedonia (Tanjug)

MOSCOW - Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev and State Secretary at the Serbian Ministry of the Interior Aleksandar Nikolic discussed the situation in Macedonia on Wednesday.

The meeting was held ahead of the sixth international meeting of senior security officials that should start in Ulan-Ude, the capital city of the Russian Republic of Buryatia.

Kotzias: We will discuss security situation in Balkans (Tanjug)

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, who is arriving on an official visit to Belgrade on Thursday, has said that with Serbia's officials he will discuss the security situation in the Balkans.

We will discuss prospects for joint endeavors in the fields of energy and transport and consider the security situation in the Balkans, challenges relating to migrations and the issue of refugees, Kotzias said in an interview to Tanjug.

Djuric: No vehicle insurance fees soon (RTS, Blic, KIM radio, TV Most, Tanjug)

The agreement on vehicle insurance signed in Brussels by representatives of Belgrade and Pristina will considerably facilitate the life of citizens in Kosovo, Director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said.

The agreement was signed late on Tuesday on the margins of the new round of the top-level dialogue which was resumed with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini as the mediator.

Over 220,000 IDPs from Kosovo shares fate of refugees (Tanjug)

More than 220,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Kosovo share the fate of refugees and cannot return to their own homes, the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) said in a release on Saturday.

The Office said on the occasion of International Refugee Day, marked on June 20, that no sustainable conditions for the return of IDPs to Kosovo had been created yet despite the fact that the majority of those people wanted to return to their homes.

Chambers of commerce seek involvement in projects (Dailies)

A conference of Western Balkan chambers of commerce, organized at the initiative of chambers of commerce of Serbia and Kosovo, ended in Vienna on Tuesday with the conclusion that business communities need to be involved in making decisions about the projects that are being prepared for the summit on the Western Balkans, set to take place in the Austrian capital in late August.

Technical talks on ZSO, energy in Brussels as of Monday (Blic, Tanjug)

Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric will head a Belgrade delegation that will, as part of the technical dialogue with Pristina, participate in the talks in Brussels on June 15 -18.

The talks will deal with establishment of the Community/ Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), telecommunications, energy and other outstanding issues, says a statement issued by the Office for KiM.

Shots at Info portal KoSSev office in northern Mitrovica (Kontakt plus, N1, Tanjug)

Unidentified individuals fired shots at the office of information portal KoSSev in northern, Serb-populated part of Mitrovica, portal official Nevenka Medic stated on Thursday.

Nedic told Tanjug that the portal's premises were hit by seven shots and though substantial material damage was caused, nobody was injured in the incident which occurred when the employees were not inside the building.

The Kosovo Police Service performed the preliminary on-site inspection and investigation is underway.

Gojkovic thanks Belarus for not recognizing Kosovo (Tanjug)

Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic thanked President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko for the support his country gives to Serbia's territorial sovereignty and integrity.

The Parliament Speaker also thanked Belarus for not recognizing the independence of Kosovo, unilaterally proclaimed by ethnic Albanians in Serbia's southern province in February 2008, and for the support of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
