There is no pressure on Serbia that Kosovo enters the United Nations, told Danas, Ivica Dacic, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He denied that there are pressures from Germany and other Western countries onto Belgrade to weaken the relationship with the Republika Srpska and to support constitutional reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Asked whether Serbia would weaken ties with Republika Srpska and support constitutional reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he said that nobody requested it of us.

The newly elected chairman of the ‘Friends of Serbia’ informal group in the European Parliament (EP) Emilian Pavel believes that when it came to the recognition of Kosovo, Romania should align its position with that of other European Union members.

Political dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina should continue on June 23, when prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa should meet in Brussels, learned Danas.  As stated, Vucic and Mustafa should discuss and possibly put initials on “solutions that the teams for technical talks will agree till then.”

The long awaited technical negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina about the Association /Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo and Metohija should begin in Brussels today, with the discussions on the draft of the ZSO.

It is not surprising that Mr. Hashim Thaci asked the Vatican to accept the diplomatic representatives of Pristina, though he would rather asked for some kind of "liaison officer" in Rome, such as the Government of Serbia agreed to it in Belgrade for obvious practical reasons.

The last three years the incompetent government has set deadlines and goals that it could not meet, thus creating unrealistic expectations among citizens. Last year, there were speculations that the opening of negotiating chapters with the EU will be in July, and in October, then in December.

Prime Minister Vucic has no problem with anti-government opposition, which in my opinion is the problem of FYROM, and Nikola Gruevski, estimated in an interview with Danas, Skender Destani, President of the Democratic Union of the Valley and Deputy Mayor of Presevo.

* Did you have contacts with some of the Albanian politicians from Kosovo, Macedonia, or Tirana, as it was the case until recently, regarding the region of South Serbia?

The Stabilisation and Association Agreement for Kosovo was adopted by the European Commission. In accordance with the Lisbon Treaty, the SAA for Kosovo does not require from the EU Member States to ratify it at the national level, and therefore will be implemented more quickly. The SAA will only be ratified in the European Parliament - said in an interview with Danas, Head of the EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar, explaining the procedure by which Pristina will, already in June, reach the SAA.

Serbia has formally started accession negotiations with the European Union in January 2014. However, negotiating chapters have not been opened. It is obvious that the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is one of the most important conditions. How do you assess this approach of the EU?

Police and Customs services performed their duties normally at the Presevo border crossing, during the clashes in Kumanovo. The buses, transporting tourists to the resorts in Greece were regularly passing.  Border police denied the allegations of some media that the crossing was closed during the fiercest escalation of conflicts, which occurred between FYROM security forces and armed Albanian groups.
