Drecun: Self-determination demonstrates extremism (RTK2)

President of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, says that statement of Vice President of Self-Determination movement, Visar Imeri, that Serbia needs to change approach towards Kosovo, is demonstrating policy of extremism. “They are actually the ones who do not contribute to the process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, and not Serbian officials,” said Drecun.

Petrović: Situation in Kosovo to be resolved through democratic principles (RTK2)

The chairperson of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) who is at the same time the Deputy Kosovo Prime Minister and Minister for Local Administration, Slobodan Petrović stated on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, that actual political situation in Kosovo is quite sensitive and that it is very important to apply democratic principles and behave in line with those principles.

Suspect arrested for murder and attempted murder (RTK2)

Regional Head of Operations of the Kosovo Police Zeljko Bojic said that the police arrested in Lesak one person suspected of murder and attempted murder of another person.

Bojic told Tanjug that the suspect was arrested shortly after 23 pm on Saturday night and the police arrested five persons as part of this operation.

The suspect was arrested in a village Socanica in the north.

Jaksic: Belgrade is contradictory (RTK2)

The fifth session of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija Assembly was held in northern Mitrovica, with the only item on the agenda – the current political and security situation in the north.

MP Marko Jaksic said at the meeting that they are the only legitimate representatives of the Serbian people in Kosovo. He criticized the official Belgrade because it forced Kosovo Serbs to participate in elections organized by Pristina authorities.

Contradicting statements of Pristina and Belgrade over crossings (RTK2)

Belgrade and Pristina’s technical teams have reached an agreement in Brussels on integrated crossings. However, the agreement is not spared from various controversies. For one negotiating side nothing significant will change at crossings, for the other side those crossings will resemble, more than they used to, on border crossings.

Janjic: ZSO is possible preparation for the partition of Kosovo (RTK2)

Belgrade expects that Pristina will end post-election processes in due time, in order to enable the establishment of the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), said Ivica Dacic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. In a statement for RTK2, political analyst Dusan Janjic said that current emphasizing of Serbian politicians that ZSO should include only Serbian municipalities in the north could mean launching of the story on partition of Kosovo.
