Gracanica: A dozen buses departed to Belgrade (KIM radio)

In Gracanica, in the early morning hours, many people gathered in front of the ETC market, which in an organized manner in buses departed to Belgrade, reports KIM radio.

A dozen of buses are transporting people to the rally ''Future for Serbia'', organised today in Belgrade by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), reports KIM radio.

Driver who harassed Serb school girls arrested (RTS)

The driver who on Monday picked up in his vehicle three secondary school girls in Gracanica and then refused to stop his vehicle was arrested for sexual harassment, police station commander in Gracanica, Bratislav Trajkovic told RTV KIM.

Trajkovic added the man was sent to detention for 48 hours. “The individual was identified based on the surveillance camera footages and the same person was arrested. It is E.K. 35 years old”.

“The further procedure against this individual would be decided by the public prosecutor,” Trajkovic added.

New “One in Five Million” protest in Gracanica on Saturday (Radio KIM)

The third “One in Five Million” protest walk is scheduled to take place in Gracanica, on Saturday 16 March, Radio KIM reports. As it was announced the protest walk would start at the main square and end at Milos Obilic Monument.

An organizer of the protest Branislav Markovic called upon Gracanica inhabitants, but also Serbs from other areas to attend the gathering.

 

Protest “One in Five Million” held in Gracanica, Srpska Lista reacts (BETA, Danas, KoSSev)

Protest “One in Five Million” was held on Friday in Gracanica, gathering around 15 people, BETA news agency reported.

Gracanica resident Tamara Zelenovic addressed journalists saying she did not come to the protest to bring down Serbia, but local authorities, KoSSev portal reported.

Organizer of the protest, Branislav Markovic said the protest “represents a rebellion against one party privatization of the state and its institutions, against censorship of the free mind, for the freedom of speech, electoral right and freedom of movement.”

Two “One in Five Million” protests to be held in Kosovo (KoSSev)

KoSSev portal reports that two protests “One in Five Million” would take place in Kosovo and Metohija. The protest in Gracanica takes place this evening at 18:00, while in Mitrovica North it would take place tomorrow, starting at the same time.

Protestors in Gracanica have two main questions – What is a delineation? And what is the compromise?

Organizers of Mitrovica North protest said the gathering would start at Tsar Lazar monument, and then to proceed to Sutjeska Street where Oliver Ivanovic was murdered and then back to the Tsar Lazar monument, KoSSev portal reported.

Kozarev and Popovic discuss projects’ implementation in Gracanica (Tanjug, RTS)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Deputy Director, Dusan Kozarev visited Gracanica municipality and discussed with its mayor Srdjan Popovic about implementation of the projects in this area to be financed by the Serbian Government, RTS reports.

According to Kozarev, Gracanica municipality has reasons to be optimistic since capital investments would follow and potential of this place would start to develop. He added, citizens of central Kosovo, can expect stronger presence of the Serbian state there.

“One in Five Million“ protest in Gracanica this Saturday: What does demarcation mean? (KoSSev)

Following “One in Five Million“ protest walk in Mitrovica North last Saturday and unclear statements by the organizers whether it will be held again, news arrived that another protest walk would be held in Kosovo, but this time in Gracanica, KoSSev portal reports.

The demands of this protest will be “to stop the media darkness and to stop party employment“ and a question “for Serbia to explain what does demarcation mean“.

Gracanica: A person detained for domestic violence (KIM radio)

KIM radio reports that a Serb from Gracanica was detained last night because of beating his wife under the influence of alcohol, the Kosovo Police announced today.

The victim reported to the police last night about 8 pm, and was given medical assistance.

The suspect had 1.77 units of alcohol in his blood. Offender was detained in a cell at the discretion of the prosecutor, until he sober up.
