Leader of Free Citizens Movement (PSG), Sasa Jankovic said that the opening of a theme of parliamentary elections is the best evidence that governing Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is losing the local elections in the Serbian capital, Serbian media reported.

The decision of the Government and the president of the state that Serbia sends a letter to the European Commission with a series of questions regarding the position of the Commission that the cases of Catalonia and Kosovo cannot be compared, is irresponsible and serves for internal political use, representatives of the opposition say, write daily Danas.

With Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic’s decisive victory in the presidential election on April 2, Serbia has edged closer to autocracy. Though the presidency is largely ceremonial, Mr. Vucic can now handpick his successor as prime minister and consolidate his power, since Parliament and the judiciary are all but locked up by Mr. Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party. Having severely curtailed press freedom and marginalized political opposition, his concentration of power bodes ill for Serbian democracy.

Vice President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Director of the Office for KiM Marko Đurić says that the barricades, placed this morning throughout Kosovo, were synchronized and were an organized action, and in fact are an attack on Serbs in Kosovo, their freedom of movement, and their right to elect.

Kosovo police spokesman for the region of Gnjilane/Gjilan Ismet Hashani told RTV KIM that this morning in Labljane no buses with Serbs were stoned.

"No it is not true that any bus was stoned in Labljane," says Hashani.

More than 60 buses carrying Serbs that were going for the SNS rally (organized for the the party's candidate Aleksandar Vučić in the Serbian presidental elections) were stopped this morning in several places south of the Ibar.

As daily Blic reports, the provincial committee of the Serbian Progressive Party reported that about 3 000 people have been prevented to go to the rally in Leposavić/Leposaviq.

Municipal committees of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Kosovo condemn the deal of a part of deputies in the Serbian List, from the ranks of the Socialists Movement, with Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa that resulted in the change of the minister Ljubomir Marić, a member and official of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the installing of a person to the position, who is compromised, incompetent and loyal to Pristina, said a statement to the media.

DSS Provincial Board for Kosovo and Metohija in its latest press release supports the former President Sanda Rašković-Ivić in the attitude that "in no case'' should be made up a coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party in Voždovac, and especially not in Vračar, because the municipality of Vračar is a "symbol of resistance to dictatorship of Aleksandar Vučić."
