Unidentified persons threw stones at the Braca Aksic elementary school in Lipljan/Lipjan, central Kosovo, and while nobody was injured, the school was left with a broken glass.

The school is located in a majority ethnic Albanian area and is the only school in which there are no classes on Mondays due to market day, and the incident occurred in the night between Sunday and Monday.

The case has been reported to the Kosovo police, who have launched an investigation into the incident.

Albanians fear that the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo would mean autonomy with enormous powers for the Serbs in the north, including the division of the Province. On the other side such powers would not be possible if instead of Community would be formed Association of Kosovo municipalities.

Despite numerous warnings from Brussels that they will not receive asylum, a number of citizens from Kosovo is still prepared to leave Kosovo, is conclusion of the research of the Group for Legal and Political Studies under the name “Profile of Kosovo migrant: Who emigrate in the EU?”

According to the research, usually young people emigrate and the reasons are socio-economic in nature. These are mostly people with low income and secondary education. For that situation they usually blame Kosovo government.

The red biometric passports of citizens of the Republic of Serbia are the same as passports of the citizens residing in Kosovo. However, only because of the two words on the first page of the travel document, they are completely different. Indication Koordinaciona Uprava (Coordination Authority) means that a person who holds such a passport must go in Pristina or Belgrade in order to get visa. That depends on whether the destination country recognized Kosovo or not.

Administrative Office of the Kosovo government in Mitrovica north does not function any more, stated the Chief of Administration in that municipality, Adrijana Hodzic. Hodzic said that there was no official handing over of the authorities and that workers will continue to work. “If one evaluates the work of four municipalities in the Kosovo north, Kosovska Mitrovica municipality has shown the best results for 2014.  Even in 2015, it started operating normally, with the exception of freezing the budget for all four municipalities in the northern Kosovo,” said Hodzic.

Chairman of the Serbian Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said that within the course of Brussels dialogue, the key issue will be formation of the Community/ Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO). He said that the community must be formed in accordance with what was agreed in Brussels, emphasizing that ZSO would not be able to function if Pristina does not respect the Statute.

Mayor of North Mitrovica Goran Rakic requested last night the authorities to investigate the responsibility of the police officers who were on duty at the place where the young men was stabbed.

"We seek from the regional commander to submit a report, starting from the head of the shift to every officer who was at the time of the attack near that place, regardless of whether the police officer is employed in the police station North or South", said Rakic after an emergency meeting of representatives of local and the Regional Directorate of the Kosovo Police in northern Kosovo.

A 17-year-old Serb boy who was stabbed in the chest near the bridge on the Ibar River in Mitrovica is in a stable condition after he underwent surgery.

Kosovska Mitrovica Heath Center Director Milan Ivanovic made the announcement on Thursday, but did not rule out complications due to the nature of the injuries, saying that his recovery was at the moment progressing as expected.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia reacted to the statement of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama about a possible unification of Albania and Kosovo by sending the appropriate instruction to all of Serbia’s missions to international organizations and embassies in the countries of the EU, members of the UNSC and the neighbouring countries.

In an interview with daily Politika Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said ‘if a resolution on the alleged genocide committed by Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija will be adopted than the further dialogue with Pristina is impossible.’
