Defense is ready and we expect trial to begin soon (Tanjug, TV Most, Blic)

BELGRADE - Deputy leader of the Citizens’ Initiative SDP Ksenija Bozovic said Thursday that she expected the trial against the party leader Oliver Ivanovic to begin before the end of 2015, pointing out that his defense was fully prepared for the trial.

Bozovic told Tanjug that the defense had presented all evidence Oliver Ivanovic had and the names of his witnesses to the court within the statutory deadline, adding that she expected the trial to begin before year’s end.

About 350 American soldiers in Kosovo (TV Most)

Some 350 American soldiers will begin next month cooperation with Kosovo police and the EU in areas where Serbs make majority, report Pristina media.

According to the media, American soldiers will not be the ones to first respond in the event of any crisis.

- We simply support them (Kosovo and the EU) and we are working on an environment in which Kosovo people are safe - said the commander of the unit Col. Clint Baker.

Before arriving to Kosovo, where they will be accommodated in two camps, this unit of American soldiers will initially be in Germany.

Roma return to Kosovo from Montenegro (TV Most)

From Montenegro to Kosovo voluntarily returned on Monday 57 persons, who have fled to Podgorica in 1999.

Roma were escorted from camp Konik in Podgorica to Klinavac in Klina/Kline municipality in Kosovo, where houses were built for them, said the representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Montenegro and UNHCR.

Returnees will receive furniture, firewood, and the means to start their own business.

Minister wants "urgent meeting" with EULEX, KFOR (TV Pink, TV Most,B92)

BELGRADE -- Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović says he has requested an urgent meeting with representatives of EULEX and KFOR after the killing of a Serbian policeman.

The officer, Stevan Sinđelić from MUP's Gendarmerie unit, died on Thursday after he was shot in the head by suspected Albanian timber thieves, in the Ground Safety Zone between Kosovo and central Serbia.

Serbia has not assisted the writing of indictment against Ivanovic (TV Most, Politika)

Belgrade - Director of the Office of the Government of Serbia for Media Relations Milivoje Mihajlovic dismissed the allegations that the Special Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes in Serbia helped in writing the indictment against the leader of the CI SDP Oliver Ivanovic.

Serbia had no part in it, he told TV Most in Zvecan/Zveqan.

"If a crime existed, Oliver Ivanovic would have been previously prosecuted in Serbia," Mihajlovic said, adding that the "key witness", to the crimes he is charged with, the Hague tribunal "dismissed as frivolous".

Milivoje Mihajlovic, Director of the Office for Media Relations in the Serbian Government, said today that judge should release on bail the CI SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic.

"I think judge should decide to release Ivanovic on bail, because it’s irrelevant for the political scene in Kosovo whether he is out of custody or in it, because he was arrested in order to be removed from political life ahead of parliamentary elections in Kosovo," Mihajlovic told Radio Television Serbia (RTS).

Serbian factories are targeted by Pristina (TV Most)

In the period between 1980s and 1990s, with the aim to stop the migration and keep the remaining Serbian people in these areas, Serbia built about twenty factories in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, mostly in the municipalities of Leposavic and Zubin Potok. Former conglomerates Lola, Javor, Simpo, Petoletka, VIK Vrsac, Kristal and Gradac also built their factories there. 

Ivanovic: There are lists of arrests of Serbs in Kosovo (Politika,Vesti, TV Most)

President of the Serbian National Council of Northern Kosovo Milan Ivanovic said that senior officials of Serbia and the international community have confirmed to him that there are lists of arrests of Serbs in Kosovo.

"Lists that exist in Kosovo and Metohija for the arrest of Serbs are in the function of the ethnic cleansing Kosovo and Metohija of the remaining Serbs in the north and the creation of a Greater Albania," said Ivanovic to TV Most in Zvecane/Zveqan.
