Novosti: Egypt to revoke recognition of Kosovo? (Vecernje Novosti, B92)

One of the main topics of a visit of the Egypt's parliamentary delegation to Belgrade would be revoking decision to recognize Kosovo, Belgrade based daily Vecerenje Novosti writes today.

According to daily’s diplomatic sources there is a will in Egypt to change the decision made five years ago, but they are awaiting for the right moment.

Novosti recalled Egypt only verbally recognized southern Serbian province on 26 June 2013 while the Muslim Brotherhood was still in power, however without sending a diplomatic note.

Georgia supports Serbia's territorial integrity, sovereignty (B92)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met in Tbilisi on Tuesday with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at the beginning of her first official visit to that country.

Brnabic, who is the first prime minister of Serbia on an official visit to Georgia, and Bakhtadze said during the talks that the relations of the two countries are good and traditionally friendly and that in the coming period they will work on intensifying cooperation in different areas.

Dacic: Important to find common interest with USA (BETA, TV Prva, TV Most)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said it is important to find a common interest with the USA so they would be ready to support Serbia’s idea to reach a compromise solution on Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Dacic told TV Prva that next week one century since the Serbian flag was displayed on the White House would be marked and Serbian PM Brnabic would be there, while the USA Vice President Mike Pence and State Secretary Mike Pompeo should also attend the ceremony.

It seems that over the last couple of months, the Kosovo agenda is getting a faster pace and since the Kosovo side enjoys support of different countries, including that of Washington, then the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is also looking for allies, a correspondent of several Francophonic media from Belgrade, Laurent Rouy told Danas daily.

Asked what kind of meaningful support Belgrade can get from France when it comes to the Kosovo solution, Rouy said it would foremost be the support related to the establishment of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities.

Vucic: No European prospects if Kosovo remains frozen conflict (TV N1, BETA)

Serbia will have no European prospects if Kosovo conflict remains frozen, President Aleksandar Vucic warned on Tuesday.

“If the Kosovo conflict remains frozen you can be sure there will be no European prospects, you can be sure investments will drop,” Vucic told Serbian reporters after his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Serbia will have Macron’s support in finding a compromise solution for Kosovo, Vucic said, adding that he is hoping for the same from German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “In that case there is some hope,” he said.

Key powers, Russia included, replacing ambassadors in Serbia (Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug, B92)

Some key world powers will be soon sending their new ambassadors to Belgrade, "especially when it comes to solving the Kosovo issue."

The daily Vecernje Novosti writes this on Tuesday, adding that Berlin has already announced a replacement for Axel Dittmann - Thomas Schild, previously a part of the German UN mission. The mandate of UK Ambassador Denis Keefe is expiring as well, and his successor is expected to arrive here in the fall.
