Dacic met Moore discussed bilateral relations, dialogue (B92)

First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic received on Thursday Director General for Political Affairs at the UK Foreign Office Richard Moore.

According to the Serbian Government, they "expressed readiness for deepening the overall bilateral relations of the two countries, which includes a more intensive exchange of high-level visits."

Dacic "reiterated Serbia's readiness to continue dialogue with Pristina in order to find a compromise, as well as a lasting and sustainable solution, after the abolition of unacceptable tariffs."

"Logical for future Belgrade-Pristina deal to go through UN" (TV Happy, Tanjug, B92)

Ivica Dacic on Thursday reiterated that the UN Security Council would be "a logical instance that should follow if Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement."

"That's a logical sequence of events. Everything we agree on must go through some foreign body in order to gain international legitimacy, in order to verify what we have agreed," the Serbian Foreign Minister and First Deputy PM told Happy TV.

Vucic to Moore: Revoking tariffs first, then dialogue (Tanjug, Politika, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed hope today the international community would continue with rational calls to Pristina to give up on the tariffs it imposed against Serbia and Serbian people, Tanjug news agency reported.

Vucic said during the meeting with Foreign Office Director General for Political Affairs Richard Moore Serbia would immediately after these anti-civilized measures are revoked, be ready to continue the talks with Pristina.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric said today that dialogue platform of the Kosovo Assembly on negotiations with Belgrade, prevents lasting normality and stability, BETA news agency reported.

“How can we talk based on that platform?” Djuric asked, adding “that a toxic environment has been created in Kosovo and the State Department report registering attacks against the Serbs confirms that.”

Dacic: Mogherini’s statement does not mean change in format of negotiations (RTS, Tanjug)

The statement of EU High Representative Federica Mogherini that the UN Security Council would have to verify the Belgrade-Pristina agreement does not mean there would be a change in the format of the negotiations, Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic told RTS.

Dacic added there are no negotiations at all, and Pristina “may hang its platform on the wall as a newspaper or internal announcement.”  

Dacic also noted Serbia was always saying any agreement that might have been reached would need to be verified by the UN, as a world organization.

KFOR denies knowledge of Pristina's plans (Tanjug, B92)

KFOR is not aware of Pristina's alleged intention to raid northern Kosovo and takes over the Trepca (mining complex), claims KFOR spokesperson Vincenzo Grasso.

Commenting on media reports that KFOR knows about Pristina's plan, the spokesperson of this military mission calls on everyone to refrain from provoking unnecessary tensions by placing unverified information that causes unwarranted concern among the population.

Russia adopts document on NATO's 1999 attack against Serbia (Sputnik, Tanjug, B92)

Russia has adopted a document on the 20th anniversary of the start of the NATO bombing of the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). Tanjug is reporting this on Wednesday, citing Sputnik, that the text states "the initiators of this crime must be held responsible."

Spanish FM: Spain does not recognize Kosovo, supports compromise solution (BETA, B92)

Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister Josep Borrell during the visit to Belgrade said his country is against the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo, but it supports a compromise solution, BETA news agency reported.

He spoke in Belgrade with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. President Vucic thanked Spain for its principled stance on Kosovo and an active support in the protection of Serbia’s state and national interests.
