Protests in Gračanica on the occasion of the International Day of Disappeared (TV Most)

The International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances will be marked in Gračanica downtown today, at 11:00 in organization of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons from Kosovo and Metohija.

Association communicated that they will repeat their message to Kosovo authorities and the international community that almost nothing has been done in shedding a light on the destiny of their missing family members.

Đurić: Establish the fate of disappeared (Tanjug)

The Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić says on the occasion of August 30, the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, that he expects that Belgrade and Pristina will make more resolute progress towards Serbian-Albanian reconciliation by establishing the fate of all victims of enforced disappearances.

For the third time, members of the UN Security Council on Monday will give its opinion on candidates for the future UN Secretary General.  The candidate of Serbia Vuk Jeremić came in second place after the previous round of voting in the East River, right behind Antonio Guterres, the Portuguese.

Đurić: Security situation in Kosovo and Metohija inflammatory (TV Most)

Reflecting on the incident in the village Mušutište, Suva Reka municipality in Kosovo, director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, said that such extremism and unhidden hatred toward the Serbs are evidence how inflammatory security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is, and that “our southern province is far away from building multiethnic and democratic society”.

Jevtić: Police failed in Mušutište (RTS)

The Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo Government, Dalibor Jevtić, reflected on yesterday’s incidents in the village Mušutište and said to RTS that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija will remain persistent in realization of their basic human rights and freedoms. It is unacceptable that anyone is prevented to move free in 21st century and return to its property, said Jevtić.
