Popovic-Ivkovic: Kosovo in Interpol would be serious precedent (Tanjug, Blic)

State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs Biljana Popovic-Ivkovic met in Baku with Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Interior Oruj Zalov and presented to him Serbia’s arguments against reconsideration of Kosovo request to join Interpol, Tanjug news agency reported.

Zalov noted that Azerbaijan supports territorial integrity of Serbia and would continue to offer support to Serbia in international organizations.

Gojkovic met El-Sisi, discussed Kosovo and fight against terrorism (RTS)

Egypt advocates for resolution of the Kosovo issue through the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said during the meeting with the Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic in Cairo, RTS reports.

Gojkovic thanked Egypt for supporting Serbia’s interests during the voting on international forums.

“We have received an absolute support for our efforts to find a lasting and compromise solution through the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and we can count on Egypt’s support,” Gojkovic said following the meeting.

Delegation of the German Christian Democratic Union visited Visoki Decani (Kossev)

A group of senior officials of the German Christian Democratic Union, led by European Parliament Vice-President Reiner Wieland, visited the Visoki Decani Monastery today where they talked about the current situation in Kosovo, as well as about the monastery itself with Abbot Sava Janjic.

Dacic: Cancellation of Paris meeting proof to US that nothing can be done without them (BETA, TV Pink, TV N1)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said on Sunday the delay of the meeting of Pristina and Belgrade officials in Paris is "someone's defeat," but least of which a Serbian defeat.

He also told TV Pink that there is not much grief in either Brussels or Washington that the meeting has been postponed.

Vucic 99 percent sure Paris meeting not happening (Serbian media)

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic says that he is 99 percent sure that the Paris meeting of the Western Balkans leaders with Kosovo, planned for July 1, would not be held because the Albanians “are not ready to talk about anything important,” Serbian media reported.

Vucic adds that his impression was the Albanians wanted to send a message to the Germans and French that the Europeans should not take part in solving the Kosovo issue.

Serbian official says Kosovo’s application is political pressure on Interpol (Beta, N1, KIM radio)

A senior official with the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said on Tuesday that the Kosovo authorities have applied for membership in Interpol for a fourth time.
MUP State Secretary Biljana Popovic Ivkovic said that the re-submitted application is part of continued political pressure on the international police organization, a ministry press release said.
