Serbian official says Kosovo’s application is political pressure on Interpol (Beta, N1, KIM radio)

A senior official with the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said on Tuesday that the Kosovo authorities have applied for membership in Interpol for a fourth time.
MUP State Secretary Biljana Popovic Ivkovic said that the re-submitted application is part of continued political pressure on the international police organization, a ministry press release said.

SLS officials today to pass Merdare in an organised manner (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio, KoSSev)

Serbian media in Kosovo reports that Independent Liberal Party (SLS) announced that the party's officials will be crossing Merdare crossing today at 11 am, in a protest to the more frequent stopping and harassment of their officials at the crossings of Merdare, White Land and Jarinje.

The SLS said that the last case of stopping of the SLS officials happened yesterday at the crossing White Land (Bela Zemlja) to Srdjan Jovanovic, and kept by the Serbian MIA for several hours, and questioned by members of the Security and Information Agency.

Rada Trajkovic sought protection from Serbian MIA (RTS, Politika)

The president of the European Movement of Serbs from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic to receive police protection, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Rada Trajkovic told Belgrade based daily Politika that she contacted the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) because she felt that her and the safety of her family was endangered, reports RTS.

The Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) issued a statement late on Wednesday, following media reports that armed Albanians had stormed Kursumlija area villages.

As stated, the police station in Kursumlija received a report on Tuesday evening from workers in the area of the village of Rastelica that they had heard shooting "from the direction of the Autonomous Province (AP) of Kosovo and Metohija."

A Kosovo Serb politician was kept by members of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Merdare crossing for an hour, and then he was allowed to continue his journey, reports portal Kossev quoting Caglavica based portal New press production.

Serbian MIA denies that Frontex arrives at the border, Han is not aware (N1)

The head of the MIA's Department for International Cooperation Zoran Lazarov denied media reports that Serbia and the EU signed an agreement on the deployment of members of the European Border Guard and Coast Guard (Frontex) on the borders of Serbia. European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn is not aware also about the alleged spread of Frontex to the borders of the Western Balkans, reports reginal broadcaster N1.

Stefanovic on Serb KSF members, murder of Ivanovic (Kossev)

"Anyone who our security services assesses to be able to have certain knowledge or to participate in the demolition of our constitutional order, security conditions, is called for an interview, that person has not been arrested, none of them have been arrested," said Stefanovic. He talked to Ljubica Gojgic, on RTV's latest show "Pravi ugao", revealing that the Serbian information agency has called on people for an informative interrogation.

The overall security situation in Kosovo is very serious - Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said in Belgrade on Friday.

Stefanovic told this to Assistant UN Secretary-General Alexander Zuev, and reiterated Serbia's position on the need for UNMIK's continued presence on the ground.
