A senior official with the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said on Tuesday that the Kosovo authorities have applied for membership in Interpol for a fourth time. MUP State Secretary Biljana Popovic Ivkovic said that the re-submitted application is part of continued political pressure on the international police organization, a ministry press release said.

At the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, held in Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic thanked countries that did not recognize Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence and thus supported the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, reported Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Director of the Information Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova told RTS this morning that Russia's attitude towards Kosovo is consistent and strict. This attitude is built on three components - the international legal basis of what is happening in Kosovo, respect for the sovereignty of Serbia, independence and internal Serbian legislation, and understanding the interests of the people and Serbia as a state, Zakharova stressed.

Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told RTS, Serbia would do its utmost, supported by friendly countries, to prevent decrease or cancellation of UN SC sessions on Kosovo and to keep them open to public.
