Arbana Xharra writes that it is unbelievable how far can manipulations of politics go in order to profit. Without any moral norm or responsibility, it tends to dim the scandal of oil with high percentage of sulfur, even though laboratory results prove the opposite.

She considers that the decision of Pristina mayor, Shpend Ahmeti, to shut down all schools until the results of analysis are received, is an action of high political responsibility. If the country had emancipating politics, which considers public interest a priority, everyone would join this initiative and request a more scrutinized analysis.

Xharra further holds responsible the two biggest parties, LDK and PDK: LDK is responsible for signing such contract with a company which is proved to supply with dangerous fuel. While Hib Petrol company which supplied schools with oil, is one of the biggest sponsors of PDK.

Xharra also accuses the Ministry for Trade and Industry, for hiding the report on fuel, (from 3 February,) and for trying to manipulate further with the opinion, by claiming that the oil is “in accordance with permitted standards.”

“Even though we do not know yet what does the high level of sulfur cause, […] I do not know what human being could manipulate with this concern, only to benefit politically,” concludes Xharra.
