Regional Police Directorate in Ferizaj/Urosevac undertook an operation in the municipality of Shterpce/Strpce and accompanied to the police station six persons, three of whom are suspected of being members of Serbian Interior Ministry (MPU).
The news was confirmed for KosovaPress by Basri Shabani, head of operations in the Ferizaj police directorate.
“I can confirm that we have undertaken an operation in Shterpce. We have accompanied six persons to the Ferizaj Regional Directorate and I cannot confirm anything else,” said Shabani.
He said they suspect some of the persons in the group are members of MUP. “We have our suspicions but I cannot confirm anything at this stage,” he added.
KosovaPress learnt that on election day, Kosovo Police had arrested a member of Serbian MUP and recovered a USB drive which contained the names of several people, members of the Kosovo Police, who had reported to MUP and today’s arrests are related to this case.
