Serbian PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said today that burst into Police station in Zubin Potok is impermissible, and that such events must be condemned.

Dacic told reporters at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade that the Serbian citizens in Kosovo must understand that it is The Police consisted of Serbs who live there, as well Police Officers in Zubin Potok are all of Serbian nationality.  “This way of solving the problems is unacceptable. I’m not going to qualify whether released prisoner is a man who was arrested due to a reason, or not. Since we cannot tolerate such behaving in the Police Stations in central Serbia, we cannot tolerate it either in Zubin Potok,”Dacic said.

He added that the order must exist and, therefore, such events must be condemned. “Serbs got their legal and legitimate authority (in Kosovo). The part of the agreement is that the structure of the Police force reflects the ethnic composition of the population. All police officers in Zubin Potok are Serbs. Who protest there? It has nothing to do with inter-ethnic relations,” Dacic said.

Deputy police commander is suspended

Kosovo Police suspended the deputy commander of the police station in Zubin Potok, for neglecting security of the detainee, who on Wednesday, with the help of citizens managed to escape from police custody, was stated from the Police. “Due to the irresponsibility of police officials in securing the detainee, he managed to escape as a result of pressure from people who had gathered in front of the police station and requested his release. Kosovo Police has activated a plan ‘iron ring’ in order to find and arrest the fugitive,” the statement said.
