Head of the Office of Russian Federation in Pristina, Andrey Shugurov said that the action of toppling state’s sovereignty began in Serbia, precisely in Kosovo and Russia will never forget what happened next. Speaking at the Faculty of Philosophy in Kosovska Mitrovica, at the promotion of the book of Jelena Guskova titled “Kosovo and Metohija – the war and conditions of peace,” Shugurov added that after Kosovo followed the destruction of other countries and reminded to the events in Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Egypt and the Ukraine.
“No one was aware and did not realize that Russia has limits, up to which it will endure. Western counterparts have crossed the limit,” said Shugurov and pointed out that Russia “will not forgive them.”
Shugurov said that Russia for 25 years tried to build partnership relations with the west, but it was in vain, adding that Russia is no longer willing to compromise to the detriment of its interests and interests of the “Slavic brothers”. “I hope that they will not dare to wage war. Attitude of Russia is principled, we will not change position on Kosovo,” concluded Shugurov.
Shugurov added that he was in Pristina on 17 March, on the liturgy dedicated to the victims of the March violence in 2004 and that it was a shame that he was not accompanied with the representative of any western country, which even in 2004 were not able to stop the violence, “neither they had wish to do so.”
