The leadership of the branch of Kosovo Historians’ League (KHL,) in Deçan/Decani, is following carefully the process of the property contest between the Municipality of Decan/Decani and Decan Monastery on the properties of two public enterprises, “Apiko” and “Iliria.”

KHL leadership in Deçan/Decani, once again reminded the Municipal Assembly and the Mayor of the city that any movement towards recognition of the properties of “Apiko” and “Iliria” as properties of Decan monastery, will face their objections and continuous protests. They requested from the Assembly members and Mayor of Deçan/Decani, to reject any agreement that would harm interests of the citizens of this Municipality.

“KHL branch in Decan/Decani, requests from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and Municipality of Decan/Decani, to start with changes on the statute of the two publicly owned enterprises “Apiko” and “Iliria,” and turn them to state properties as it happened with “Trepça,” in Mitrovica,” says their press release.

The leadership of this branch warned that if the Municipal Assembly tries to initiate discussions on German draft-memorandum at the next meeting that will be held by the need of the month, they will face pan-national protest and objection.

This leadership reminded the public opinion that it has not given up or changed the position on the property contest between the Municipality and Decan Monastery.

They also requested from Father Sava Janjic to back off from his political demands and stop provoking the population and general situation in Deçan/Decani.
